• Owner of dog involved in Ohio school attack enters plea (whio.com) — A Sylvania neighbor has pleaded no contest to a vicious dog charge after his loose dog attacked a woman holding her child outside Whiteford Elementary in December. Surveillance video captured the incident, the dog was later euthanized, and the owner is expected to receive probation at sentencing later this month. 
• Sylvania man arrested in connection to death of 68-year-old woman (13abc.com) — Sylvania police are investigating the death of 68-year-old resident Marcia VanDruten after officers found her deceased in a home on Fox Hollow Court Wednesday night. A 35-year-old Sylvania man was arrested in LaSalle, Michigan in connection with the case, which police describe as an isolated, targeted situation with no ongoing threat to the public.
