Beat the heat: Toledo opens cooling centers as temperatures soar (wtol.com) — With dangerous heat and humidity in the region, Lucas County has opened multiple air-conditioned cooling centers, including the Sylvania Library on Monroe Street, where residents can escape the high temperatures. Libraries, senior centers, and community centers across Toledo and nearby suburbs are welcoming people needing relief, while Metroparks offer shaded areas and water stations for dogs.
   

2. Case No. CI2025-03568 (toledolegalnews.com) — A Lucas County legal notice announces a civil lawsuit over a 2025 I-475 crash near Douglas Road and seeks to notify defendant Remy Elveus. 4. Ronald A. Black (1958 (thevillagereporter.com) — Family and friends are mourning Ronald Alan Black, who was born in Sylvania in 1958 and passed away May 30. Remembered for his community involvement in Wauseon, love of bowling, softball, and golf, and deep devotion to family, his life will be celebrated at the American Legion in Wauseon on July 25, 2026.
