• As Brickyard Park remediation continues, officials ban fishing over lingering contamination fears (cleveland.com) — Wadsworth officials are moving ahead with transforming the former Brickyard site into a 200-acre park while banning fishing in all ponds because of untested waters and past contamination. Cleanup of benzopyrene, asbestos, and arsenic is expected to substantially finish by September, with full completion in November and broader public use starting spring 2027, including new trails, athletic fields, and improved access from Seville Road.
