• Man accused of fleeing Bay Village, Westlake police, assaulting K-9 (cleveland.com) — Westlake police joined Bay Village officers in a late-night pursuit that wound through several Westlake streets before a PIT maneuver stopped the car and a K-9 helped end a tense hour-long standoff. A Parma man now faces multiple Westlake felony and misdemeanor charges, while Bay Village police are pursuing additional counts related to the chase and suspected drug paraphernalia. 
• Westlake police arrest man found with AR-15 semi-automatic rifle on felony charges (cleveland.com) — Westlake officers pulled over a car on I-90 near Columbia Road and immediately spotted an AR-15 rifle on the front passenger seat. The 18-year-old Elyria driver, already barred from having guns due to prior felonies, was arrested on multiple weapons charges and cited for driving without a license, with the rifle and ammunition seized as evidence.
• OVI suspect has four previous convictions: Westlake Police Blotter (cleveland.com) — Several recent Westlake police cases highlight safety issues on local roads, from a woman with four prior OVI convictions stopped on I-90 to a suspected crack cocaine arrest on Sperry Road and a criminal damaging case on Crocker Road. Officers also picked up a Cleveland man wanted on a burglary warrant, transporting him to the county jail.
