• SEOHSBCA releases all-district honorees (crescent-news.com) — Wheelersburg baseball fans have plenty to cheer about, with several Pirates named to the Southeast Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association all-district teams, including first-team picks Brady Doss and Cameron Conn. Additional Wheelersburg standouts earned second team, honorable mention, and special mention recognition across Division IV South East, highlighting the program’s strong showing this season. 
• Fatal Plane Crash Destroys Wheelersburg Area Home (sciotocountydailynews.com) — A small plane crashed into a home near Greater Portsmouth Regional Airport Thursday morning, killing the pilot but sparing the two people inside the house, which was completely destroyed by fire. The Bennett School House Road crash in Harrison Township drew a massive multi-agency response, and federal investigators from the FAA and NTSB are now working to determine what went wrong.
• Ronnie Carrington Sr. (lewiscountyherald.com) — Wheelersburg readers may recognize the Carrington family name in the obituary of Ronnie G. Carrington Sr., 59, of Vanceburg, who passed away Monday at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. He is survived by several siblings, including Judy Rickards of Wheelersburg, along with his wife, children, and grandchildren, who will remember his faith and love of music at a private family service.
