• Lane closures expected on State Routes 28 and 730 for roadwork starting Monday (wnewsj.com) — Drivers in and around Wilmington should expect lane restrictions on State Routes 28 and 730 starting Monday, June 15, as ODOT begins a $1.03 million chip-seal project. Traffic will be down to one lane with flaggers and temporary signals, including on SR 730 between Sprague Road and Nelson Avenue in Wilmington, through work expected to last into early November.
   

• CCSO: K-9 helps deputies uncover suspected drugs during traffic stop (wnewsj.com) — A Wilmington man was arrested after a U.S. 68 traffic stop where a Clinton County K-9 helped deputies find suspected cocaine and marijuana. The sheriff’s office says the case will go to prosecutors and is also inviting Wilmington-area residents to apply for deputy and corrections officer jobs or share crime tips.
   

• SOCHE recognizes 3 outstanding Wilmington College faculty and staff members (highlandcountypress.com) — Three Wilmington College standouts have been singled out by SOCHE for major awards, highlighting the campus talent shaping local students’ lives. Campus minister Nancy McCormick, staff leader Sonja Wilkin, and sport management professor Steve Cukovecki were honored for transformative mentoring, behind-the-scenes improvements, and hands-on career experiences that reach from Wilmington to national sporting events.
