• Oklahoma farmer arrested and jailed for trespassing during AI data center town hall — removed by officers after going a few seconds over allotted speaking time, trying to hand paperwork to counselors (tomshardware.com subscription) — A proposed AI data center at Claremore Industrial Park, known as Project Mustang, is drawing strong pushback from Claremore-area residents worried about utility costs, water use, and transparency. During a February town hall on the project, a Tulsa farmer was arrested after exceeding his speaking time while trying to share paperwork with councilors. City officials insist the project won’t raise Claremore taxes or utility rates and say NDAs followed Oklahoma law.

• Claremore police warn public to stay out of city's underground tunnels (kjrh.com) — Claremore police are urgently warning residents to stay out of the city’s underground tunnels, citing toxic gases, low oxygen, and no cell service if someone gets trapped. The reminder follows a YouTube exploration video and recalls a past storm-drain tragedy involving firefighter Capt. Jason Farley, as neighbors report ongoing risky behavior near the tunnels.

• Oklahoma Senate advances bill to make school cellphone ban permanent (oklahoman.com) — A statewide ban on student cellphone use during the school day, first enacted for this school year only, is closer to becoming permanent after the Oklahoma Senate advanced an amended bill. Sen. Ally Seifried of Claremore says the policy has proven overwhelmingly popular with parents, teachers, and administrators. The measure now returns to the House, and its fate will affect every school district, including those serving Claremore families.
