• Baughman edges Asher in close Eufaula school board race (mcintoshdemocrat.com) — A razor-thin three-vote margin has given longtime resident Amber Michelle Baughman the Eufaula Public Schools Board of Education Office No. 1 seat over incumbent Martha Jane Asher. Baughman, a 19-year Eufaula resident and active school parent, says she ran to better support local students, teachers, and programs, and will be sworn in at the next board meeting once results are certified.
• Eufaula Indian Journal names Lady Ironheads Players of the Year (mcintoshdemocrat.com) — Eufaula basketball fans can celebrate several Lady Ironheads being honored as Players of the Year by the Eufaula Indian Journal after a standout 2026 season. Senior Johna Bumgarner earned MVP, with Olivia Hamby, Ariel Greenlee, Lauren Gray, and Hannah Needham also recognized for their key offensive and defensive roles under coach Jason Radomski.
