1. Tulsa Air & Space Museum adds former Thunderbird F-16 to collection (newson6.com) — Tulsa's Air & Space Museum is bringing in a retired Thunderbird F-16C, expected to arrive within three to six months as part of a permanent display on Oklahoma aviation and military history. The museum has launched "Operation: Thunderbird," seeking $60,000 to cover transport, restoration, and installation, with the jet planned as a prominent feature near the entrance by Tulsa International Airport.
   

2. 'I try not to think about it': Key Elementary student reflects on TPS consolidation plan (kjrh.com) — Tulsa Public Schools may close or consolidate 17 campuses, potentially forcing nearly 5,000 students, including those at Key Elementary, to move schools next year. A fifth grader and her family share how the possible closure affects them, while the district cites low enrollment and underused buildings. The school board votes October 19, with public information sessions planned beforehand.
   

3. OU Health brings brain and spinal cord tumor specialists to Tulsa (newson6.com) — Tulsa patients with brain and spinal cord tumors can now see fellowship-trained neuro-oncologists locally at OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center at Hillcrest on South Utica, instead of traveling out of state. Three specialists will rotate through the Tulsa clinic, offering access to advanced treatments and clinical trials, while a much larger cancer center is under construction at OU–Tulsa's Schusterman campus for a 2028 opening.
   

4. Tulsa Firefighters collecting donations for MDA at storefronts, not from curbs and medians (newson6.com) — Tulsa firefighters are out today and Saturday collecting "Fill the Boot" donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association at local Sam's Club, Reasor's, Wal-Mart, and downtown Home Depot locations instead of street medians. A recent city ordinance now restricts curbside collections, but residents can still give cash, card, or online to support MDA research, including work based in Tulsa.
   

5. Grand jury petition seeks to reach investigation into Tulsa County DA Kunzweiler (kjrh.com) — A new grand jury petition aims to investigate Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler's office, citing 11 categories of alleged misconduct in several local cases. If a judge validates the filing and 5,000 registered Tulsa County voters sign by mid-November, a grand jury could be convened to review how the DA's office has used its discretion and handled evidence.
