City Of Ashland Settles Lawsuit With OSF Actor 2019 Incident (theashlandchronicle.com) — Ashland city officials have reportedly agreed to a $50,000 settlement with a former Oregon Shakespeare Festival actor who alleged mistreatment by Ashland police after a 2019 late-night arrest downtown; the deal still needs Jackson County court approval. The settlement includes no admission of wrongdoing, while a separate federal case against Jackson County and sheriff’s staff continues.
