• California condor returns to Oregon for the first time since 1904 (thecooldown.com) — A California condor was recently spotted flying near Cave Junction, marking part of the first documented visit of a free-flying condor to Oregon since 1904. The young bird, released by the Yurok Tribe in California, looped hundreds of miles through Northern California and Southern Oregon, hinting that condors may naturally return to their historic range here.
