• 60 cats rescued from hazardous Central Point home in abuse case (kdrv.com) — Central Point police removed more than 60 cats from a Valley Oak Boulevard home after an elder mistreatment call uncovered hazardous, waste-covered conditions and signs of animal neglect. A 43-year-old resident was jailed on felony animal abuse and neglect charges, and multiple county and state agencies are still investigating possible additional criminal mistreatment counts.
