• Washington County fire agencies to enact high-fire danger burn ban (beavertonvalleytimes.com) — Starting just after midnight on Monday, June 15, a high-fire danger burn ban will stop all backyard, agricultural, and land-clearing burning across Washington County, including within the Cornelius Fire Department’s service area. Small cooking and recreational fires are still allowed, but residents near Oregon Department of Forestry-protected lands should check for even stricter rules on campfires, smoking, and equipment use.
