As Two Corvallis Middle Schools Combine, Students Name a New Mascot and Colors (corvallisadvocate.com) — Students from Linus Pauling and Cheldelin have chosen a new shared identity as the Corvallis Junior High Panthers, with black and gold colors. Starting in the 2026–27 school year, the combined school will serve all local 7th and 8th graders, with students leading the mascot decision through a “Mascot Madness” process and celebratory assembly.
