• Creswell City Council votes to leave county program (chronicle1909.com) — Creswell’s city council has unanimously voted to exit its waste-management agreement with Lane County, aiming to avoid up to a 4% garbage-rate hike for residents and higher costs for local schools and businesses. Trash from Creswell will keep going to Dry Creek Landfill instead of the county’s Short Mountain site while county officials and hauler Sanipac continue negotiating broader regional solutions.
