• Cooling centers open throughout Clackamas County (clackamas.us) — Estacada residents without air conditioning are urged to use nearby cooling centers as Clackamas County braces for potentially 100-degree heat June 13–16. The county shares locations, safety tips for people and pets, and guidance on recognizing heat exhaustion, while also planning extra support for vulnerable and unsheltered neighbors.
   

• They gave Clackamas Community College a record gift. Now their name will go on a new building (oregonlive.com) — A major new Natural Resources Center at Clackamas Community College is moving forward with record-setting donations from Terry and Cheryl Holden, who grew up in nearby Estacada and Molalla. Their two $5 million gifts will help fund classrooms, labs, and training spaces for careers like wildland fire, horticulture, and water technology, with construction in Oregon City expected to start this fall.
