• Pedestrian Killed In Gold Hill: Hit & Run (theashlandchronicle.com) — A man was killed in an early-morning hit-and-run on Access Road near the Gold Hill Fire District 3 station, and investigators believe the suspect’s vehicle has front-end or windshield damage. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the crash, driver, or vehicle to call the non-emergency line and reference case 26-2466.

• May 16, 2026 (theashlandchronicle.com) — A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run in Gold Hill, and Jackson County detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver. The same news digest also notes a small, active Table Rock Road fire near Central Point, giving residents a heads-up on nearby emergency activity.
