• Watch live: Sheriff's office to hold news conference for update on Forest Grove homicides at 2:30 p.m. (kgw.com) — Washington County Sheriff's Office in Hillsboro plans a 2:30 p.m. news conference to share new details on the quintuple homicide discovered near Forest Grove, where five people and several pets were found dead after a vehicle fire. Investigators have already identified the victims and say the suspected killer, a partner of one victim, died by apparent suicide in Washington state, with more information promised at the briefing. 
• 7 weeks after local man is killed on Puerto Rico beach, new details emerge (local12.com) — A man who once called Hillsboro home was killed on a remote Puerto Rico beach, and a privately hired investigator is now uncovering new leads in the case. After moving from Hillsboro to San Juan in 2024, Tyler Wilkin was fatally shot in July, and investigators are now focusing on several persons of interest while his grieving family seeks answers.
