• Oregon railroad wins very specific award for its holiday train ride (hereisoregon.com) — Hood River’s own Mount Hood Railroad just earned a global Polar Bell Award, naming its Polar Express ride the top experience of its kind for 2026. The 90‑minute holiday excursion departs from the Hood River depot with cocoa, storytelling, and Santa visits, and will run Nov. 20–Jan. 2, with ticket details coming in July.
