Catch-and-release only for native redband trout in Klamath Basin June 15-Oct. 31 (ktvl.com) — If you fish Upper Klamath Lake or its spring-fed creeks, be ready for catch-and-release only on native redband trout and artificial lures only for all species from June 15 through Oct. 31. ODFW says drought and poor lake conditions have hammered local trout, and this temporary rule aims to help Klamath Basin fish survive and rebuild. Anglers are urged to target plentiful yellow perch and brook trout instead.
