Siletz Valley School will remain open (ictnews.org) — A key Lincoln County School Board vote at Oceanlake Elementary in Lincoln City means Siletz Valley School will stay open next year after a motion to end its charter failed for lack of a quorum. Leaders now face substantial work to fix compliance issues, from attendance and test scores to facilities and services, while emphasizing student pride and the school’s importance to the Siletz community.
   

2. Lincoln City DMV will close temporarily as of Monday (klcc.org) — Lincoln City’s DMV office will shut down for about two and a half months starting Monday, April 20, with plans to reopen June 30. Residents are urged to use the Newport DMV or the DMV2U online services for most transactions while local staffing is rebuilt.
