• Explosion, house fire reported near North Bend; crews respond (kcby.com) — An explosion and house fire just outside North Bend on Curlew Lane sent thick black smoke into the air Thursday, with the blast felt by many residents. The City of North Bend says it deployed five personnel to assist North Bay Fire District crews and is urging people to avoid the area while first responders secure the scene and assess damage to nearby structures.
