• Budget compromise could bring proposed city services fee down to $5 (philomathnews.com) — Philomath’s Budget Review Committee has endorsed a plan to cut a proposed city services fee from $14 to $5 per month, dedicating all revenue to police salaries while approving a $34.9 million 2026-27 budget. The compromise relies on trimming training, travel, beautification and future-project funds, plus tapping reserves, and now heads to the City Council for a final decision.
