• Adopt a pet: Jesper (rv-times.com) — If you’ve been thinking about adopting, Jesper—a gentle 1‑year‑old shepherd mix—is waiting at the Jackson County Animal Shelter on South Pacific Highway in Phoenix, with his adoption fee waived after more than 100 days there. Staff say he’s bright, food‑motivated, walks well on leash, and is blossoming with affection, and walk‑in visits are welcome during regular shelter hours.
