• Thunderstorm knocks a tree down on the Old Economy Village community kitchen; recovery plan underway (beavercountyradio.com) — A thunderstorm in Ambridge knocked a large tree onto Old Economy Village’s historically reconstructed community kitchen, damaging the building that hosts programs and artifacts. State preservation experts are now overseeing debris removal, stabilizing the structure, and carefully recovering and protecting the artifacts so the space can eventually reopen for community use.
   

• State Representative Rob Matzie: $650,000 secured to boost training opportunities for Beaver County workers (beavercountyradio.com) — From his Ambridge office, State Rep. Rob Matzie announced $650,000 in state workforce grants to expand training and apprenticeships for Beaver County steel and construction workers. The funding, through the Department of Labor and Industry, will support upskilling programs and recruit more residents into high-demand trades across the region.
