She highlighted Baldwin-Whitehall's strong MMR vaccination rates and urged continued cooperation between parents and schools to keep Baldwin students safe as Pennsylvania manages more than 700 measles cases statewide.

Governor Shapiro's Historic Investments in Public Education Allow Baldwin-Whitehall School District to Add New ASL Classes, Expand Pre-K Programs for Children and Families (pa.gov) — Baldwin-Whitehall School District is seeing a 74% jump in state funding since 2023, fueling new American Sign Language classes and expanded pre-K options for local families. More than 150 students now study ASL at Baldwin High School, and 36 four-year-olds attend the district's growing pre-K program, all backed by Governor Shapiro's Ready to Learn and adequacy funding.
   

4. High school sports results for Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026 (post-gazette.com) — Baldwin athletes had a mixed Thursday, with boys soccer falling 9-0 to Mt. Lebanon and boys golf dropping a close 199-187 match to Bethel Park. Looking ahead, Baldwin's football team travels to Hollidaysburg for a non-conference game Friday night, while many neighboring schools also hit the field in key WPIAL matchups.
