• Centre renews partnership to support emergency responder scholarships (lockhaven.com) — Meeting in Bellefonte, Centre County commissioners have renewed a five-year partnership with Centre Foundation to keep the Emergency Responder Scholarship Fund supporting local volunteer firefighters and EMS members. With about $15,000 available and awards up to $2,500 a year, the program helps residents cover training at CPI, South Hills, the Public Safety Training Center and Centre LifeLink EMS, addressing critical staffing shortages. 
• Commissioners adopt resolution for $10M loan (statecollege.com) — Centre County commissioners meeting in Bellefonte have approved a resolution allowing the county to secure up to a $10 million short-term loan so construction of the Public Safety Training Center in Spring Township can stay on an accelerated schedule while grant funds are pending. They also issued proclamations honoring child welfare professionals and service providers who support vulnerable children and families across the county.
