• Pennsylvania Promotes Farmers' Market Voucher Program for Seniors, Families (mychesco.com) — Low-income Boalsburg seniors and WIC families can get state-funded vouchers to buy fresh Pennsylvania-grown produce at the Boalsburg Farmers Market and other participating stands through November. State officials visited Boalsburg this week to spotlight how the Farmers Market Nutrition Program fights food insecurity while directing more dollars to local farms, and they’re urging eligible residents to sign up now. 
• Woman Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash in State College (statecollege.com) — A State College woman died Wednesday morning after her car left South Allen Street near Easterly Parkway, went airborne from a lawn, and landed on its roof despite extensive rescue efforts. With the crash still under investigation, Boalsburg-area drivers who frequent this corridor may notice ongoing police activity and are asked to share any information or video with borough police.
