• Briggs bill to modernize campaign finance reporting passes Pennsylvania House (pahouse.com) — Bridgeport residents are represented in Harrisburg by Rep. Tim Briggs, whose bill to require all Pennsylvania candidates and political committees to file campaign finance reports electronically just passed the state House. The proposal aims to speed public access to campaign finance data, cut administrative costs, and would also allow leftover campaign funds to be donated to nonprofits if it becomes law.
