• Flying high (observer-reporter.com) — A young pilot who first flew at the Brodak Fly-In in Carmichaels is now headed to Australia to represent Team USA in the 2026 Control Line Aircraft World Championships. Fifteen-year-old Angstrom Eberenz, who discovered the sport after seeing signs in Carmichaels, has since piled up national titles and is training daily with his father for the precision aerobatics event.
