• Chalfont Tavern To Close Its Doors In December (patch.com) — Chalfont residents are losing a local favorite as Chalfont Tavern Pizza & Restaurant on North Main Street plans to close in December, about a year after its grand reopening. The owners, who rebranded the former Leonardo’s Pizza, thanked borough customers for their support and urged neighbors to stop in over the next few months to enjoy favorite dishes before the doors shut for good.
   

• Bucks County Dedicates Chalfont Bridge to Last Local Soldier Killed in Vietnam (bucksco.today) — A Bucks County bridge in New Britain Township has been dedicated to U.S. Army Specialist Ronald Anthony Longfellow, a young soldier from Chalfont remembered for his generosity and service in Vietnam. The ceremony honored him as the last Bucks County resident killed in the war, with family, county leaders, and veterans advocates sharing memories and explaining the county’s broader effort to name bridges for local Vietnam casualties.
   

• Decades-old snapping turtle dies after kids "bludgeoned" him with stones, Pennsylvania rescue says (cbsnews.com) — Aark Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center in Chalfont is urging anyone with information to come forward after a decades-old snapping turtle died from injuries caused when children allegedly pelted him with stones. Staff described severe shell and head damage and called on local families to teach kids to respect wildlife, as state officials say they can do little without witnesses’ help.
