Recent Police Activity Includes Drug Arrests & Fraud Investigation in the Region (exploreclarion.com) — State Police are reporting two recent drug-related arrests in Clarion County, including a Clarion Township traffic stop that led to charges against a Clarion man. Troopers also detailed a separate stop in Sligo Borough involving suspected drug impairment, plus an identity theft case affecting a New Bethlehem woman in neighboring Armstrong County.
   

2. Judge Sets $100,000 Bail for Clarion County Man Accused of Arson (explorevenango.com) — A Clarion County judge has now set $100,000 bail with strict house-arrest and electronic monitoring conditions for a Clarion-area man charged in an alleged arson that destroyed his Highland Township home. The ruling follows debate over earlier bail decisions and procedural questions, and the defendant remains in Clarion County Jail ahead of a June 16 preliminary hearing.
   

3. NOTICE Sealed proposals will be received by Knox Borough of (thecourierexpress.com) — Knox Borough in Clarion County is accepting sealed bids until July 6 for a double asphalt seal coat project covering more than 11,000 square yards of roadway. Contractors should note strict completion and liquidated damages dates, plus the required bid and performance bonds, before submitting proposals to the borough office on South Main Street.
   

4. Driver Crashes Into Ditch to Avoid Rear-End Collision in Redbank Township (exploreclarion.com) — A Clarion man walked away uninjured after swerving his SUV off Route 66 in Redbank Township, Clarion County, to avoid rear-ending a turning vehicle. State Police in Clarion say his Ford Explorer hit a large roadside ditch, and he was later cited for following too closely after the May 30 crash.
