• Still no hearing set on proposed Newton Twp. data center (thetimes-tribune.com) — A proposed $280 million data center in nearby Newton Township remains in limbo after an appeal of the township’s denial has gone months without a rescheduled hearing. Because Newton is part of the Scranton-Abingtons Planning Association with Clarks Summit and neighboring boroughs, how this dispute is resolved could shape where large data centers are ultimately allowed across the region.
