Commissioners say they need more time to compare prices, hardware needs, and features before choosing a vendor and announcing the winning proposal. 
2. Homeless woman to stand trial on 2024 burglary charges (theprogressnews.com) — Clearfield residents may see a 2024 Lawrence Township burglary case move forward, as a homeless woman has waived her preliminary hearing and is headed to trial. Clearfield Regional Police say the victim returned from jail to find valuables missing, and investigators later linked the suspect to property allegedly moved to a nearby storage shed.
3. Fugitive arrested after high-speed chase in Clearfield County (wtaj.com) — State police say a wanted Morrisdale man was arrested after a high-speed chase that ended with a PIT maneuver and his booking into Clearfield County Jail. Troopers report he allegedly fled at high speeds, passed vehicles illegally, and even went around a school bus before being stopped and arraigned this week on fleeing and related charges.
4. Clearfield County man accused of sexually assaulting toddler, troopers report (wtaj.com) — State police based in Clearfield have charged a Clearfield County man in connection with an alleged sexual assault of a 2-year-old, following an investigation that began at Mount Nittany Medical Center. The 23-year-old from Osceola Mills is facing multiple felony counts, has posted bail, and is awaiting a preliminary hearing later this month.
5. Clearfield track teams go 3-3 in quad-meet at Bellwood (theprogressnews.com) — Clearfield High School’s track and field teams turned in a strong showing at a Bellwood-Antis quad-meet, highlighted by Sophia Campolong breaking a 26-year-old school record in the 400-meter dash. The Lady Bison went 1-2 and the boys 2-1 overall, with multiple Clearfield athletes earning wins and podium finishes ahead of today’s Bald Eagle Invitational.
