• Upper Darby Marine Auxiliary collecting items for children's comfort bags (delcotimes.com) — Collingdale gets a small but meaningful mention in a regional effort to comfort children facing emergencies, as a local friend’s experience helped inspire broader outreach. The Upper Darby Marine Corps League Auxiliary is assembling 80 comfort backpacks for kids encountered by firefighters, EMTs, and potentially police, and residents can donate supplies or funds through Burhill Hardware or an online list.
