• Democratic committee steps up to keep recycling center open (tiogapublishing.com) — Potter County’s Democratic Committee has taken over volunteer operations at the recycling center, keeping this key service open to residents after the Coudersport Lions Club’s long tenure. The center accepts clean cardboard, cans, plastics, and paper every Saturday morning, and organizers are actively seeking individual and group volunteers to help maintain consistent hours and support local charities through on-site donations.

• American Legion Baseball returns to Coudersport (tiogapublishing.com) — American Legion baseball is officially back in Coudersport, with Coach Doug McClintic leading a new 19U team supported enthusiastically by American Legion Potter Post 192. The squad, built from Coudersport, Austin, and Ulysses players, is focused on development, teamwork, and giving local athletes more competitive summer baseball. Fans can even buy team hats as the season gets underway.
