• Passes to area museums available at Cranberry Library starting Sept. 14 (butlereagle.com) — Cranberry Public Library cardholders will soon be able to borrow "Experience Kits" that provide four free admission passes to participating regional museums and historic sites for a week at a time. Starting Sept. 14, adults can check out one kit on a first-come basis, with daily late fines and significant penalties for lost passes, giving Cranberry residents a low-cost way to explore area attractions.
   

• Dukes to be sworn in Tuesday (butlereagle.com) — Cranberry Township residents will soon have Brandon Dukes representing them in Harrisburg as he's sworn in Tuesday to fill the 12th District House seat through year's end. Elected by a narrow margin in August, the Democrat becomes the first from his party to hold this seat in over two decades and will face a rematch with Republican Scott Timko in November.
