• Upper Darby firefighters handle working fire (delcotimes.com) — Fire crews from Upper Darby and neighboring Darby quickly brought a house fire on Overhill Road under control Tuesday afternoon, limiting damage after heavy flames were reported at the rear of the home. Multiple nearby departments assisted, and traffic was briefly shut on Chestnut Street while hoses were stretched across the roadway.

• Upper Darby student honored by White House in AI competition (delcotimes.com) — An Upper Darby High School senior was recognized at the White House for winning a national artificial intelligence competition, bringing positive attention to the local school community neighboring Darby. Khandakar Mahin’s project used computer vision to help criminal investigations, and his achievements highlight the strong academic and STEM opportunities available to students in this part of Delaware County.
