• Dauphin County awards gaming grants with slight changes to original list (theburgnews.com) — Dauphin County has approved $10.4 million in gaming grants, plus additional awards, directing casino revenue to local nonprofits, municipalities and businesses across the county. Commissioners shifted funding toward food security, housing, workforce development and key Harrisburg-area projects, while trimming some previously planned awards that secured money elsewhere and debating how much of the county’s unrestricted gaming “savings” to tap. 
• Playground at historic Dauphin County home closed through summer for construction (local21news.com) — Families who use Fort Hunter Park along the Susquehanna in Dauphin County should plan around a full summer closure of the playground near Fort Hunter Mansion, plus nearby restrooms, for construction and upgrades. County parks officials say a portable restroom will be available on the park’s west side and are urging visitors to steer clear of all work zones for safety.
