Authorities Renew Call For Information In Shooting Death Of Bucks Woman

Based on evidence gathered over the past year, authorities maintain that this was not a random act of violence and that she was targeted.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — One year after the murder of 89-year-old Anne Turner, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Hilltown Township Police Department are renewing their appeal to the public for information that could help identify her killer and bring closure to her family.

On July 10, 2025, at 7:20 p.m., Hilltown Township police officers were called to a home in the 2500 block of Rickert Road after a neighbor discovered Turner unresponsive inside her kitchen.

Despite immediate life-saving measures by officers and emergency personnel, she was pronounced deceased at the scene. An autopsy by the Bucks County Coroner’s Office later confirmed that Turner had been shot and her death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators found no signs of forced entry at the home. Based on the evidence gathered over the past year, authorities maintain that this was not a random act of violence and that Turner was targeted.

The active and ongoing investigation is being conducted jointly by detectives with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Hilltown Township Police Department.
