Bigger, Better Porchfest Returning To Doylestown This Fall

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The 2nd Annual Doylestown Porchfest is happening Saturday, October 3, and it’s twice as big as last year.

The free, family- and pet-friendly event transforms the charming porches of Doylestown Borough into stages for an afternoon of live music. From noon to 6 p.m., 28 porches throughout town will feature performances by approximately 90 musicians and bands.

With genres ranging from acoustic singer/songwriters, folk, country and jazz to rock, indie, alternative and more, there will be something for every musical taste.

The musicians are generously donating their time and talent for the simple joy of playing for an audience and bringing an afternoon of wonderful music to the Doylestown community.

"We are especially grateful to the many porch hosts who are opening their porches and lawns to make this celebration possible," said event organizers.

For an easier way to plan your afternoon, a custom Porchfest app, available through the website, allows attendees to browse the schedule, save favorite performers and locations, and receive notifications when favorite acts are about to begin.

Doylestown Porchfest is made possible with the generous support of local business sponsors, whose contributions help cover promotional, printing and other event costs.

Porchfest is also partnering with Joe Montone and Stage United in their mission to promote local music and art.

"While Porchfest has grown significantly in its second year, the heart of the event remains the same. Much of the organization behind this dynamic community celebration is a monumental labor of love by a small group of dedicated volunteers who want to bring people together and enhance the vibrant community of Doylestown Borough," said organizers.
