Doylestown 5K To Hit The Streets On Memorial Day Weekend
With showers in the forecast for Saturday, this year's race is looking to be a damp and chilly one in Doylestown.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — With rain and showers in the forecast for Saturday morning, this year’s Doylestown 5K Race and One Mile Fun Run is looking to be a damp and chilly one this year.
This year's 5K race is scheduled to step off at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 23 on Maple Avenue at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. The USATF-certified course will then wind its way down Linden, through the Forest Drive neighborhood, back down Linden before finishing on State Street below a giant American flag.

Opening the event will be the One Mile Fun Run, also known as the Mightiest Mile, scheduled to step off at 9 a.m.
Drawing more than 700 runners and a huge crowd of supporters, the event is the largest race in the Bucks 5K Series with proceeds benefiting two local non-profit organizations: Discover Doylestown and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School.

“It’s a great way to start your Memorial Day celebrations,” said organizers, who encourage people of all ages to join the race or to come out and cheer on the participants.
"Words of encouragement and cheers of support from spectators have helped thousands of participants cross the finish line at the Doylestown 5K Race," said organizer. "Your energy and inspiration make a difference. If your house or business is along the race course and you’re able to play music, have a sprinkler going, or cheer from your driveway - our runners and walkers appreciate your cheering and encouragement."

Registration is open for runners and walkers online until May 23. Click here for registration information. In-person registration will be available Friday from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday from 7-9 a.m. at Burpee Park.
Street Closures For The Race
The following streets will be affected between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m:
- East State Street (Printers Alley to Maple Avenue)
- Maple Avenue (State Street to East Street)
- East Street (Maple Avenue to Linden Avenue)
- Linden Avenue (Maple Avenue to Creek Drive)
- Creek Drive (Linden Avenue to Forest Drive
- Forest Drive (Creek Drive to Hickory Drive)
- Hickory Drive (Forest Drive to Chestnut Drive)
- Chestnut Drive (Hickory Drive to Swamp Road
- There will be no parking on East State Street from Broad to Donaldson and in the Pine Street parking lot.
