Doylestown Borough To Mill, Pave 6 Roads Starting Monday

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Doylestown Borough Public Works Department will begin milling and paving six roads starting Monday, June 8, in a project that will bring temporary parking and access restrictions to parts of the borough.

The work is scheduled on the following streets:

• Atkinson Drive from the Post Office to Veterans Lane
• Broad Street from Veterans Lane to Lantern Drive
• East Court Street from Broad Street to Church Street
• Maple Avenue from East Street to Swamp Road
• Stryker Avenue from Myers Drive to North Chubb Drive
• Veterans Lane from Broad Street to Woodbridge Drive.

According to the borough, milling will start Monday, June 8, and is expected to last two days. Paving is scheduled during the week of June 15 and the week of June 22, which is also expected to take two days.

The borough advised residents and drivers to watch for posted no-parking signs as the work gets underway. Residents and businesses should also be prepared for temporary driveway access restrictions while crews are working in the area.

Newly paved roads will remain closed until the asphalt has cooled, according to the borough. That means some residents and motorists may see brief delays or detours on streets included in the project, depending on where crews are working.

Drivers planning on driving through the borough may want to allow extra time and check street parking signs before leaving vehicles along the affected roads.
