E-Scooter Driver Killed In Bucks County Crash
State Police said an electric scooter was traveling north on the shoulder of Easton Road when it struck the side of a northbound van.
NOCKAMIXON, PA — A 77-year-old Ottsville man was killed Saturday while riding an e-scooter on Route 611 in Nockamixon Township.
The accident happened at 2:45 p.m. in the 900 block of Easton Road.
State Police said that while the electric scooter was traveling northbound on the right shoulder, it struck a 2021 Ram Promaster driving north in the right-hand lane.

Police said the Ram was overtaking the scooter when the scooter struck the right side of the truck, causing damage to the Ram's right mirror housing.
Police said the Ram Promaster came to rest facing north in the northbound lane with damage to its right mirror housing. The scooter and driver came to rest facing north, partially in the northbound lane and partially on the shoulder, police said.

The scooter did not appear to have any damage, police said.
The 77-year-old e-scooter driver, Zoltan Somogyi of Ottsville, was transported to St. Luke's Grandview where he was later pronounced dead.
