BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The closure of the historic Langhorne Hotel made business news this past week when the owners announced plans to close the business after 54 years and sell the property.

While Langhorne says goodbye to its hotel, Harry Potter fans are enjoying the recent relocation and expansion of Wizarding Ways in Doylestown. The shop has reopened on Oakland Avenue, offering triple the merchandise.

In other business news, Mr. Sticky's is celebrating its grand opening this weekend at Haddie Mae's Cafe in Lahaska, while Amma's South Indian Cuisine has opened its doors at Goodnoe Corner in Newtown Township.

Historic Bucks Co. Hotel Shutting Down

An iconic and historic landmark is closing its doors after five decades in Bucks County. The Asta family, the longtime owners of the Langhorne Hotel, has decided to shut the doors of the historic business after 54 years. The business is expected to be sold. “After 54 incredible years, the time has come for us to close our doors,” the family wrote to its customers. “As difficult as this decision has been, we know it is the right time to close this chapter.” The hotel will be closing following a farewell party on July 19..

Harry Potter Store Relocates To Bigger Space

Doylestown’s popular Harry Potter store - Wizarding Ways And More - has relocated around the corner to a new, much larger space on Oakland Avenue. They pulled the invisibility cloak over the former location on East State Street on June 8 and reappeared two weeks later, on June 25, at its new storefront at 22 East Oakland Avenue, the former site of Board and Brush. In addition to all the Harry Potter books, a collection of cloaks and wizard hats and wands, the store has added new books, candy items, puzzles, stickers, banners, makeup, children’s clothing, new t-shirts, Harry Potter-themed teas, and lots more to its offerings.

Amma's South Indian Cuisine Comes To Bucks

The wait is over. Amma's South Indian Cuisine has opened its doors at Goodnoe Corner, 280 North Sycamore Street, Newtown. Amma’s menu features innovative dishes based on centuries-old South Indian culinary traditions. The chefs use fresh produce, all-natural ingredients, and freshly ground spices, to create food that is like veetu sapadu (homemade).

Warm, Sticky Goodness Comes To Lahaska

Mr. Sticky’s is celebrating its grand opening inside Haddie Mae’s Cafe in Lahaska on Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both days. “Join us for our grand opening celebration as we bring warm, gooey sticky buns and cinnamon buns to Bucks County,” said Mr. Sticky’s. “A warm sticky bun is a classic for a reason - sweet, nostalgic, and the perfect treat to enjoy with a cup of coffee. Frozen Yogurt Store Opens In Doylestown

A new self-serve frozen yogurt store has opened its doors in Doylestown. Located at 333 North Broad Street, across the street from Broad Commons Park, Dollop Frozen Yogurt lets customers build their own perfect cups, choosing from 10 flavors and more than 20 toppings. “Grab your cup, swirl your flavors, add your toppings, and build the Dollop combo that feels just right,” said the owners.
