1. Bucks County DA Announces Hate Crimes Roundtable Series This Fall (patch.com) — Bucks County's district attorney is launching a Hate Crimes Roundtable Series that includes a Doylestown session on October 19 to hear directly from vulnerable community leaders. The effort follows a recent ethnic intimidation arrest and aims to strengthen reporting, investigation, and prosecution of hate crimes while exploring both criminal and civil tools to protect residents' safety and dignity.
   

2. Central Bucks Recommends Montco Administrator For Newly Created Position (patch.com) — Families in Doylestown's Central Bucks School District could soon see expanded support for students with special needs as the district moves to hire Meghan Dennis, Ed.D., as its first director of specialized educational services. Pending board approval, she will lead special education and gifted programs as part of a broader restructuring of student services prompted by an independent review. The new role is designed to improve coordination, clarify responsibilities, and strengthen services for students and families across Central Bucks.
   

3. $2.6M In Grants Coming To Doylestown Area Projects, Institutions (patch.com) — More than $2.6 million in new state grants will fund upgrades to Doylestown's American Legion kitchen, Doylestown Hospital's courier van, the Doylestown Y skatepark, and new radios and a drone for local police. Additional funding supports Moravian Tile Works, the Oscar Hammerstein Museum, and regional fire and biotech facilities, bringing tangible public safety, cultural, and recreation improvements to the Doylestown area.
   

4. Amazon Grant To Bring Hands-On STEAM Learning To Bucks Co. Students (patch.com) — Doylestown's Bucks County Intermediate Unit Fab Lab just landed a nearly $198,000 Amazon grant to expand hands-on STEAM learning for local students this school year. Mobile labs, field trips to Ivyland, and family STEAM nights will bring 3D printers, robotics, and design projects to elementary schools across five Bucks County districts, giving every fifth grader in those districts a chance to participate.
   

5. Neshaminy Mall Historic Dioramas To Be Preserved (patch.com) — Historic dioramas from the soon-to-close Neshaminy Mall will be preserved, with one slated for display at Doylestown's Mercer Museum, keeping a piece of local retail history accessible to residents. Bensalem Township is coordinating removal and restoration before the mall's demolition later this year, including safeguarding the well-known Native American statue and fountain.
