Teen Driver Arrested Following Parking Lot Hit-and-Run In Warrington

WARRINGTON, PA — A teenage driver is facing charges after she was involved in a parking lot hit-and-run at the Warrington Target store.

Police were called to the store on July 14 for a hit-and-run. A caller provided 911 dispatchers with a description and the license plate of the vehicle that fled the scene.

Shortly after arriving at the store, police located the vehicle in the parking lot. A witness approached police and said they had seen the car hit an occupied car while attempting to park. The vehicle then backed up and drove away.

The driver of the struck vehicle told police that when she got out of the car to speak to the other driver, the driver slowly drove away. The car then drove through the parking lot and onto Paul Valley Road.

The vehicle eventually returned to the parking lot, and the 18-year-old driver from Southampton got out. While walking into Target, the victim approached the teen and said, "You hit my car." The accident caused minor damage to the driver's side of her car.

The teen told police she was pulling into a parking spot when she accidentally struck the vehicle. She was arrested and transported to the station, where she was processed and released.
