Water Department To Begin Hydrant Flushing In Doylestown
"This maintenance is essential for keeping the water system clean and ensuring hydrants are ready for fire protection," water officials.
DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Doylestown Borough Water Department will begin hydrant flushing on Tuesday, May 12, at 7 p.m. Work is expected to be completed by Friday, May 29.
During this time, residents may notice temporary low water pressure or discolored water. This is a normal part of the process. Discolored water is not harmful — just run the cold water (bathtub or outside spigot) until it clears.
"This routine maintenance is essential for keeping the water system clean and ensuring hydrants are ready for fire protection," water department officials said.
