• Burn Bans Issued (mcheraldonline.com) — Residents in Duncansville are under a borough-wide burn ban, in effect since April 10 and continuing until further notice, with all outdoor burning and fire pits prohibited. The order, prompted by dry, windy conditions and a National Weather Service advisory, mirrors similar bans in nearby North Woodbury Township and Roaring Spring, and officials urge extreme care with cigarettes and any ignition sources.
