• After successful first year, Latin Festival Easton expands for 2026 event later this month (lehighvalleylive.com) — Easton residents can look forward to the expanded 2nd Annual Latin Festival Easton on Sunday, Sept. 20, at Riverside Park downtown, running from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The free event will showcase live music, dance, authentic Latin American food, children's activities, and stronger participation from local businesses and nonprofits, all aimed at celebrating Hispanic heritage and community connections.
   

• West Easton Man Shot Dead After Confrontation Inside Spring Street Home (starnewsphilly.com) — State police are investigating a fatal shooting inside a Spring Street home in neighboring West Easton, just across the Lehigh River from Easton, that left a 52-year-old man dead Saturday morning. Authorities say two other people were inside during the confrontation, there's no active threat to the community, and Spring Street remains closed between East and Ridge streets while homicide investigators process the scene.
   

• Penn Volleyball Defeats Rhode Island in Five Sets for Fourth Straight Win (news-usa.today) — A weekend NCAA volleyball matchup brought the Penn Quakers and Rhode Island Rams to Easton where Penn pulled out a five-set win and extended its streak to four straight victories. Strong performances across the lineup, including big kill and dig totals, helped Penn rally after dropping the second and third sets and dominate the decisive fifth.
