• Fire crews rescue victim from 2-alarm house blaze in Exeter (pottsmerc.com subscription) — A serious house fire on Claire Drive in Exeter Township left one resident rescued from inside the burning home and a firefighter treated for smoke inhalation, with both taken to Reading Hospital. Crews battled heavy flames, struck a second alarm, and ultimately declared the single-story manufactured home a total loss. Fire officials praised Exeter firefighters’ quick, “heroic” response despite difficult access conditions.
   

• Pottstown man sentenced to additional prison time on gun charge (pottsmerc.com subscription) — A Pottstown man already serving a long prison term for illegal gun transfers just received an extra 1–2 years for a separate firearms offense. Prosecutors also noted he still faces trial in Berks County for an alleged 2024 gun incident in Exeter Township, underscoring how regional gun cases can intersect with Exeter-area law enforcement and courts.
